New upper bounds for Mathieu–type series
The Mathieu’s series S(r) was considered firstly by É.L. Mathieu in 1890; its alternating variant S̃(r) has been recently introduced by Pogány et al. [12] where various bounds have been established for S, S̃. In this note we obtain new upper bounds over S(r), S̃(r) with the help of Hardy–Hilbert double integral inequality. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification. Primary: 26D15, 33E20.
متن کاملPower series expansions for Mathieu functions with small arguments
Power series expansions for the even and odd angular Mathieu functions Sem(h, cos θ) and Som(h, cos θ), with small argument h, are derived for general integer values of m. The expansion coefficients that we evaluate are also useful for the calculation of the corresponding radial functions of any kind.
متن کاملGeometric and Approximate Properties of Convolution Polynomials in the Unit Disk
The purpose of this paper is to prove several results in approximations through complex convolution polynomials with Jackson-type rate or with best approximation rate, having the quality of preservation of some properties in geometric function theory, like the preservation of: coefficients’ bounds, positive real part, bounded turn, close-to-convexity, starlikeness, convexity, spirallikeness, α-...
متن کاملGeometric and Approximation Properties of Some Singular Integrals in the Unit Disk
The purpose of this paper is to prove several results in approximation by complex Picard, Poisson-Cauchy, and Gauss-Weierstrass singular integrals with Jackson-type rate, having the quality of preservation of some properties in geometric function theory, like the preservation of coefficients’ bounds, positive real part, bounded turn, starlikeness, and convexity. Also, some sufficient conditions...
متن کاملOn Geometric Spanners of Euclidean and Unit Disk Graphs
We consider the problem of constructing bounded-degree planar geometric spanners of Euclidean and unit-disk graphs. It is well known that the Delaunay subgraph is a planar geometric spanner with stretch factor Cdel ≈ 2.42; however, its degree may not be bounded. Our first result is a very simple linear time algorithm for constructing a subgraph of the Delaunay graph with stretch factor ρ = 1 + ...
